Lots of the Lorcana starter set cards do similar things, and thats before we even address the fact that a few of the cards in the starter deck are Song cards

Force of Despair is a good way to answer people comboing off or building up massive board states, and Daze is a funny counterspell when it isnt being expected

If we have Spellskite and Venerated Rotpriest we can target Rotpriest with a spell and give our opponent a poison counter and then redirect the target to Spellskite, trigging Rotpriest again for another poison counter
