There are already artifact creatures and enchantment creatures, but cards like Animate Artifact, Zur, Eternal Schemer, Animate Land, and Spark Rupture either add the creature type or convert the card into a creature, in effect replacing the type

Rather than a fast-paced aggro deck, this is a slightly slower, support-focused deck filled with characters of the same type

This used to be different, but Magic fans found a way to exploit the rules, allowing costly, powerful spells like Tibalt, Cosmic Impostor, to be played for free

I recommend that everyone seek out these cards in foil and at least take a look at them, though
