Embark on an unforgettable 6-day winter journey through Uttarakhand’s Garhwal Himalayas, all beginning at the quaint Lohajung. The trail unfolds through oak and rhododendron canopies, opening into pristine frozen lakes—Bekaltal and Brahmatal—before ascending via Jhandi Top to a summit plateau (~12,250 ft) offering sweeping panoramas of Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Kamet, and beyond.
Stops en route reveal Himlayan lore: Brahmatal Lake is said to be where Lord Brahma meditated; ghostly myths swirl around Bekaltal. From Telandi Ridge, you may glimpse Trishul framed by a symbolic trident. Despite the winter chill—temperatures can dip to minus single digits—the moderate difficulty makes it accessible. The trail combines natural beauty, spiritual undercurrents, and epic views, transforming this trek into a serene and rejuvenating Himalayan odyssey. Prepare with layered gear, proper acclimatization, and the right permits, and you’ll be rewarded with starry nights and snow-draped serenity.
