Pinal Parlekar is a nationally recognized adventure sports professional, record-holding cyclist, and accomplished mountaineer—celebrated for her pioneering achievements and her commitment to redefining the role of women in endurance sports across India.
She is the proud recipient of accolades from both the Indian Achiever Book of Records and Vajra World Records for her historic feat as the first Indian woman to cycle across all seven state capitals of Northeast India. Her iconic journey, “Mission 7 Sisters on Wheels,” covered the demanding routes of Dispur, Shillong, Agartala, Aizawl, Imphal, Kohima, and Itanagar.
In 2020, she further expanded her legacy by leading the international cycling expedition “Three Women, Three Countries,” covering Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore from 30th January to 28th February. This groundbreaking initiative was the first of its kind led by Indian women, symbolizing courage, unity, and a global spirit of adventure.
Originally from Baroda, Gujarat, Pinal holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Gujarat Technological University. While her academic journey began in engineering, her heart found its true rhythm in the mountains.
Her adventure journey began unexpectedly in 2014, when a casual trek to Chandrakhani Pass ignited a lifelong passion. Within just nine months, she completed seven national treks, culminating in her first high-altitude experience at 5,029 meters—a defining moment that shifted her life’s direction.
