ITINERARY

Day 1Drive from Dehradun to Lohajung

Drive Distance: 294 km | Drive Duration: 11-12 hours approx. | Altitude: Lohajung– 2330m | Pick up Point: ISBT, Dehradun. 

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from ISBT, Dehradun. The drive to Lohajung takes you through the beautiful Garhwal region, passing Rishikesh’s spiritual ghats, Devprayag’s famous confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, and the mountain towns of Srinagar, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag. As the road winds higher, enjoy views of terraced fields, pine-clad slopes, and distant snow-capped peaks. By evening, arrive in Lohajung — a quaint Himalayan village and the starting point of the Brahmatal trek. Overnight stay in a guesthouse or homestay.

Day 2Lohajung to Gujreni

Trek Distance: 6 km approx. | Trek Duration: 4-5 hours approx. | Altitude: Gujreni –2800m. | GPS DATA

After breakfast, begin the first day of trekking. The 6 km trail climbs gradually through dense oak, pine, and rhododendron forests. Along the way, you’ll hear the soothing sound of mountain streams and may spot birds like Himalayan magpies or woodpeckers. By afternoon, reach the Gujreni campsite — a peaceful meadow surrounded by tall trees, perfect for your first night under the stars.

Day 3Gujreni to Tilandi Top Via Bekaltal

Trek Distance: 5 km approx. | Trek Duration: 4 hrs approx. | Altitude: Tilandi Top– 3200m. | GPS DATA 

The day’s trek takes you to the enchanting frozen lake of Bekaltal, nestled in the forest. In winter, the lake is covered in ice, creating a magical sight. From here, continue climbing through snow-covered trails until you break out above the tree line, reaching Tilandi Top at 3,200 m. The open meadows offer unobstructed views of the Garhwal and Kumaon ranges. Camp overnight in the crisp mountain air.

Day 4Tilandi Top to Brahmatal Camp Via Jhandi Top and Brahmatal Summit

Trek Distance: 6 km approx. | Trek Duration: 7-8 hrs approx. | Altitude: Jhandi Top– 3400m | Brahmatal summit–3750m | Brahmatal Camp- 3200m. | GPS DATA 

Start early for a day filled with panoramic Himalayan vistas. First, ascend to Jhandi Top for stunning views of Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, and the surrounding peaks. Continue towards Brahmatal Summit (3,750 m), a spectacular vantage point with 360° views of the snow-laden ranges. After spending time at the summit, descend through gentle snow slopes to reach Brahmatal Camp near the lake. Enjoy a peaceful night amidst the high-altitude wilderness.

Day 5Brahmatal Camp to Lohajung

Trek Distance: 10 km approx. | Trek Duration: 7-8 hrs approx. | Altitude: Lohajung– 2300m. | GPS DATA 

Today is a long descent as you retrace the trail through alpine meadows and thick forests, soaking in the final moments of your Himalayan journey. Arrive in Lohajung by late afternoon and settle in for the night.

Day 6Drive From Lohajung to Dehradun

Drive Distance: 294 km | Drive Duration: 11-12hours approx. | Altitude: Dehradun – 600m | Drop Point: ISBT, Dehradun.

Begin your return drive, once again passing scenic valleys, confluences, and charming Himalayan settlements. Reach Dehradun by evening, marking the end of your trek with unforgettable memories of snow peaks, frozen lakes, and serene campsites.

  • Exclusion

    • Meals are not provided during road journeys.

    • Any expense incurred for Personal Purposes.

    • Any expense not specified in the inclusion list is not included in the package.

    • We would like to inform you that should you choose to withdraw from the trek, we will be unable to provide reimbursement for any costs related to accommodation or meals.

    • Any kind of Insurance.

    • Transportation from Dehradun to Lohajung and back to Dehradun.

CANCELLATION POLICY & REFUND POLICY

  • Special Cancellation Policy 

       A) We have implemented a special cancellation policy:

  1.  Before 60 Days: 90% Refund.
  2.  31-60 Days: 75% Refund.
  3.  Within 30 Days: 50% Refund.
  4.  Within 14 Days: No Refund.

Payment & Booking Policy

A booking fee of ₹5,000 is required to confirm your spot. The remaining trek fee must be paid at least 15 days before the trek start date. If the full payment is not received on time, your booking may be cancelled. The ₹5,000 booking fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Our cancellation policy applies to the entire trek fee, not just the booking amount. For any questions or assistance with payment, feel free to contact us.

       B) Rescheduling Policy

  • Rescheduling Within the Same Trip or Changing the Trek.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability. Trek costs may vary depending on the location and will be adjusted accordingly.
  • Guests have the option to reschedule their trek and utilize the amount paid within 1 year.

 

  • Refund Process: Refunds will be issued by mail only and processed within 15 business days from the date of cancellation.
  • Unforeseen Changes: In the event of an emergency, we may reroute treks to alternative trails. Mental preparedness for such situations is advised.
  • Documents Required: Trekkers must carry a photocopy of their photo ID, along with the mandatory Medical Certificate and Disclaimer forms for trek permissions before and during the trek

FAQ

Do I need any prior experience?

No prior trekking experience is required for this trek. It is beginner-friendly, but participants should be reasonably fit and prepared to walk for 6–7 hours a day. We recommend starting basic cardio or endurance training at least one month before the trek. This can include activities like jogging or running for 5 km daily to build stamina and ensure a more enjoyable experience on the trail.

How do I reach Dehradun, Uttarakhand?

Dehradun is well-connected by:

  • Train: Overnight trains from Delhi.

  • Bus: Volvo or state buses from Delhi ISBT, Kashmiri Gate.

  • Flight: Direct flights to Jolly Grant Airport, just 25 km from the city.

Once you register, we’ll help you plan your travel to the trek starting point- Lohajung

 

Will there be mobile network or internet access?

You’ll have a mobile signal in Dehradun and Lohajung (base camp), but no network beyond that during the trek. It’s a great time to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature.

Is the trek safe for solo travellers and women?

Absolutely. Nomadic World maintains a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. We frequently host solo travellers and female participants, with trained staff and small-group attention.
 
 
 
 

Can children or senior citizens participate?

Children (10+ years) can join with proper fitness and enthusiasm.

Senior citizens can participate if they are in good health and medically cleared for high-altitude trekking.
