No prior trekking experience is required for the Ranthan Kharak Trek. It is beginner-friendly, but participants should be reasonably fit and prepared to walk for 6–7 hours a day. We recommend starting basic cardio or endurance training at least one month before the trek. This can include activities such as jogging or running 5 km daily to build stamina and ensure a more enjoyable experience on the trail.
Kathgodam is well connected by rail and road. The most convenient option is to take an overnight or early morning train from Delhi to Kathgodam. Alternatively, you can drive or take a bus from Delhi to Kathgodam, which takes approximately 6–7 hours.
Mobile connectivity is available up to Gogina. Beyond that, there is limited or no network during the trek. It’s a great opportunity to unplug and immerse yourself in nature.
Children (10+ years) can join with proper fitness and enthusiasm.
Senior citizens can participate if they are in good health and medically cleared for high-altitude trekking.
We recommend consulting a doctor before booking.
