Is this trip suitable for beginners?

Yes, the trip is designed to be beginner-friendly. While the terrain is remote and high-altitude, most of the journey is covered by road. However, travelers should be prepared for cold weather conditions and basic amenities in homestays.

What kind of accommodation is provided?

Accommodation will be in Hotels or homestays. Expect simple, clean rooms with warm bedding, traditional heating, and authentic local meals. The highlight is the cultural exchange and the warmth of local hospitality.

How cold does it get in Spiti during winter?

Temperatures in Spiti during winter range from –5°C to –25°C depending on the time of day and altitude. Proper winter gear (jackets, thermals, gloves, boots) is essential.

All major transfers will be by a comfortable Tempo Traveller, or a suitable vehicle will be arranged for participants as needed. Roads may be snow-covered, making the drives longer, but the journey will remain incredibly scenic.

Connectivity in Spiti is limited. BSNL and Jio offer the best coverage, while Airtel may work in certain pockets. Internet access is minimal, so it’s wise to be prepared for a digital detox amidst the mountains.

Since the itinerary includes gradual acclimatization, AMS is not a major issue. However, travelers should stay hydrated, avoid overexertion, and inform the team in case of any discomfort.

We keep our groups small and intimate (8–15 participants) to ensure personal attention and a deeper cultural experience.
